MY RA DIAGNOSIS STORY

I still don't understand why RA has happened to me but I'm hopeful it has a purpose. @glorifyappofficial Comfort food today in bed courtesy of my husband 😍 I think I'm on day 3 or 4 of covid. I've been strong the past few days due to my husband being really unwell with COVID (vomiting and splitting headache). Turns out I have COVID too. I'm grateful my RA has waited until my husband was slightly better to take care of our two toddlers so now I can crash. I've been absent on here lately. A lot has been going on! It's taken me a week to post this because I've been struggling to deal with how I feel and also to find the words. My 3 yo is now sick after my 1 yo has been really ill since beginning of last week. My youngest had a temp of 40.5 from the end of last week and over the weekend. I have never been so stressed as a parent. My husband and I called 111 and took our our 1 yo to see a doctor everyday for 5 days in a row. They've both got a viral infection which naturally makes me anxious for my own health as a spoonie. I'm cuddling my babies while they're sick, sat up all night stressing over them and anxious to make sure I'm giving the right medications at the correct time. Naturally, stress, anxiety and lack of self care is making my arthritis worse and I'm in a really bad flare. I'm finding it difficult to prioritise looking after me because I'm so concerned and busy (rightly so) looking after my girls and making sure they're ok. I'm genuinely struggling and I'm ready for this infection to be gone so we can get back to some normality in this house! If anyone has any suggestions please DM! 🚨 Fellow spoonie mummy help needed! 🚨 Vegan carbonara, one of my favourite meals. Made using @this.uk bacon and vegan @quorn_uk pieces. I knew it wasn't going to go down well with my toddlers when my three year old asked "why are we not having pizza?" 🤦🏻‍♀️ Feeling just a tad deflated after my two toddlers turned their nose up at it 😂 I use penne pasta because spaghetti makes a lovely mess with two toddlers 😂 we also prefer wholewheat because it's more filling and better for you. The sauce is made with cashews, silken tofu, nutritional yeast, plant milk and seasoning. Happy one year diagnosis anniversary to me! I had my consultant appointment yesterday and although it was mixed and I'm far from ideal with my arthritis, it's like I'm starting to see the light just a tiny bit.
