Hello! I’m a 30 year old wife and mummy of two girls. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2021, shortly after I gave birth. I have been a teacher for almost a decade. I love to spend time with my girls by going for walks, baking and feeding the ducks. I love anything teal, although I’m now very much into pink and sparkles because of my girls.
My absolute favourite drink is a black forest coconut milk white hot chocolate , which my husband created for me by accident while I was pregnant with little lady number 2. I love listening to John Mayer, late night jazz music and my Celtic Moods CD. Donegal, Ireland is my favourite place in the world. We have family who live over there and I love the beaches, the countryside and the Irish accent.

I dislike scary films, spicy foods, olives and the cold. My all time favourite things to eat are biscoff spread and biscuits, my granny’s caramel squares and Christmas dinner. I am a massive fan of Jodi Picoult and have read every book she’s ever written. Before diagnosis I loved cardio boxing and kickboxing workouts by Christa DiPaolo, one of my biggest goals is to be able to do them again regularly.
I think the greatest book about autoimmune disease is ‘Food save me’ by Danielle Walker and it prompted me to start my healing journey. I hope that by sharing my story I can meet other sufferers. Thanks for reading and feel free to get in contact with me.
